Ever since I can remember, I loved to write. I published my first poem at age eight. (Having a poet for a grandmother helped.) At university, I aspired to be a war reporter. My fear of violence inspired me to revise my career goals to creative writing and holiday in Europe instead.
One of the greatest strengths of being an advertiser with a creative writing background is my ability to transform brands into believable, likeable and engaging characters that make emotional connections with consumers. For me, great advertising is storytelling born of deep human understanding.
I have received numerous awards for my work, but awards are not what drives me. I am driven with a deep need to uncover the beautiful and unique and turn it into something about which people can be passionate.
